Amendt Pest Control Will Eliminate Your Rodent Problem

Mouse Control

Both Deer and House Mice breed year round indoors and out. As cold weather sets in, mice outdoors probe the exterior perimeter of buildings at night seeking shelter for the winter. Outdoors, they feed on insects, grains, and bird seed. They follow pipes, holes in the foundation, and any other opening they can find to enter a building. Once inside, they forage for food, such as dead insects, kitchen scraps, and pantry items, primarily at night. Once established indoors, they investigate their territory multiple times a night looking for food.

Although some consider mice to be cute, they defecate and urinate throughout their indoor territories. Some serious diseases of humans are associated with mouse infestations. As cute as they might be, they are unwelcomed guests in buildings. Amendt Pest Control State-certified sales and service technicians are on call to eliminate mouse infestations and offer service and recommendations for preventing mouse ingress.

Rat Control

The Norway Rat commonly referred to as the street or sewer rat, is believed to be of Asian origin, arriving in U.S. on ships from other countries in the 1700s. Today, Norway rats are found throughout the world. Norway rats have fairly poor vision and are colorblind. Despite this, their other senses, including hearing, smell, touch and taste are keen. Although not extremely agile, they are capable of running, climbing, jumping and swimming. Norway rats are known to cause damage to properties and structures through their gnawing. Norway rats have bristly brown fur, with black hairs dispersed throughout their coat.
Their underside tends to be lighter, with gray to off-white coloring and even yellow tones. Norway rats have small eyes and ears, and their tails are shorter than the length of their head and body coupled together.
